IT & Remote Working

The number of people now working from home has sky rocketed due to the current global coronavirus pandemic. But even before COVID-19 became a factor, increasing numbers of people have been saying goodbye to the onerous commute to work. Thanks to ever-evolving technologies, it’s no longer necessary to be in an office full-time to be a productive member of the team. In fact, many kinds of work can be done just as effectively, if not more so, from home or via working remotely.

From the companies perspective enabling employees to work from home can boost employee productivity, reduce turnover, and lower organizational costs, while employees enjoy the perks of flexibility and not having to commute.

Dell 27" P2719HC LCD Monitor

For those who remember the CRT monitor, the LCD screen seemed like a giant leap forward. It uncluttered the desk and created way more space for users, but there have been some nice advances since the arrival of LCD. We particularly like the Dell P2719HC, (Shown Left)  With QHD (2560×1440) resolution, you’ll get stunning visuals, and with USB-C connectivity, one cable has the ability to transmit , power , data, video and audio, thus de-cluttering your desktop further. Also for Duel screen set-ups, a border-less design (called  InfinityEdge) lets you enjoy a nearly seamless view of your content across multiple monitors. Again by simply adding a monitor to a laptop along with a keyboard and mouse or switching from single to a duel screen set up, you dramatically increase your productivity in a cost effective way.
